Discouraged...

I am really discouraged with things right now in my life. Here are a few things on my mind that need prayer.

  • Discouraged with my job search.
  • Discouraged with my weight.
  • Discouraged with decisions that people are making in grief and stress.
  • Discouraged with not having local Christian friends to talk to and hang out with.
  • Discouraged with my finances.
  • Discouraged with parts of my family that cause me stress.
  • Discouraged with my church.
  • Discouraged with not having a paying job this summer.
  • Discouraged with being taken advantage of.
  • Discouraged with not having medical insurance.
  • Discouraged with my children's Sunday school attendance dropping.
  • Discouraged with people who can say what they want to you but you can not say anything to them because they get offended.
  • Discouraged when I have to be the one to tell my nephew some bad news and then he takes it out on me and I was not in the situation.
  • Discouraged with people acting ugly.
  • Discouraged cause I am hungry right now but too tired to fix anything or go get anything.

I am just plain discouraged right now but I keep on plugging along trusting God.

Well, Becky...I'll tell you what my mom told me some years ago when my shattered life was around my feet" "The sun will shine again!" And it did. It will for you, too.
Sometimes when you're tired and hungry, things are much worse, and you're still dealing with the loss of a grandparent. You hang in there. God knew you'd be walking this road, and He's faithful. Keep praying...there's a better day coming.

rather than being discouraged, Becky, be encouraged in the Lord

Joshua 1:9 (or maybe it is 1:8) is a good one. Do not be discouraged, do not be afraid, because the Lord goes before you wherever you go.

remember God knows what you are dealing with, pour it all out to him and know that he is in control. like the Brown Recluse said, you are still grieving the loss of your grandmother and I've said it before and I'll say it again, death brings out the worst in families (although I don't know why, you think it would bind people together). hugs to you; will keep you in my prayers

betty
